The Central Office in Erlangen coordinates the participation in trade fairs of the Vision Alliance members. Each year at the trade Control, the Alliance presents a range of new subjects focusing on image processing and measuring systems designed for production quality assurance.

Special Show Contacless Measuring Technology

In cooperation with the company P. E. Schall GmbH & Co. KG the Fraunhofer Vision Alliance has also organized the Special Show entitled "Contactless Measuring Technology" at the Control since 2006. The Special Show illustrates the productivity of the contactless measuring technology by means of selected exhibits. Furthermore, it contributes to increased transparency, acceptance and further dissemination of new technologies.

The Central Office of Fraunhofer Vision invites companies, research institutes and universities to take part in the Special Show. The Show presents innovative and up and coming systems that implement contactless measuring technologies, such as

• Light setion
• Fringe projection
• Photogrammetry
• White-light interferometry
• Holography
• Confocal measuring technology
• Measuring technologies, working in the invisible range of the wave spectrum, such as thermography, x-ray technology or terahertz measuring.

Appropriate measuring systems depend on the forward-looking development and the availability of suitable sensors, cameras and components. Therefore, the Special Show will also provide an opportunity for the presentation of future-oriented solutions in these areas.
